Welcome

On behalf of the staff and students of Birlirr Ngawiyiwu I would like to welcome you and your family to our school community. We welcome your interest, support and encouragement in all aspects of school life, in particular sharing your knowledge of the Jaru language culture of Ringer Soak.

Birlirr Ngawiyiwu was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph’s upon the request of the community at Yaruman/Ringer Soak and the work of these Sisters and St Mary MacKillop of the Cross is still the foundation of our school. As our Vision statement states…Through the example of Christ and the Gospel Values Birlirr Ngawiyiwu Catholic School (Spirit of God) will endeavour to develop confident, whole students. We will focus on a good education that honours the Jaru history, culture and traditions.
