EARLY YEARS TEACHER (PRIMARY)

Birlirr Ngawiyiwu Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and motivated full time Early Years teacher to join our team. Birlirr Ngawiyiwu Catholic School is located in the remote Aboriginal Community of Ringer Soak/ Kundat Djaru in the Kimberley, approximately 167km from Halls Creek. It is a school that caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with approximately 30 enrolments.

Our school vision is for family, school and community to walk side by side with a shared responsibility to grow up strong, smart and happy young people in both the Jaru (culture) and Ngawi (Catholic) ways. We set high expectations and believe in the strength of quality relationships and are committed to whole-school approaches to Literacy and Numeracy An integrated approach to all other curriculum learning areas is in place whilst embedding cultural perspectives and two-way learning. Teachers will work alongside an Aboriginal Teachers assistant.

Early career teachers are supported through the CEWA Early Career Teacher programme. Staff housing and the CEWA Remote Area Package is applicable.

This position is to work with our early years students but will require some flexibility to work with other year levels on a needs basis.
